Last blog till next year D:

Hey guys this is the last time I'm gonna be talking to you D: Next unit we are doing is called Graphics. We are gonna be learning how to use pictures in programs and make games with arrays and how to make animations. This is a unit I've been looking forward to for a while, but It's gonna be hard, what with arrays and other things.


Anyway, see you next semester :D

We have our last test tommorow.

It is on random numbers and all of that jazz. This was a pretty weird unit, because we used arrays and other things which we learned from the last unit. Arrays are hard, guh.

But anyway, tommorow is anime night :D I'll be chilling with my friends again. Then on saturday i'm hanging out with my best frand :D It'll be a good weekend, I think.

Balls in a bag xD

Today we learned how to simulate the probability of pulling a certain color out of a bag of different colored balls out of a bag. It was pretty simple, we didn't do any problems or anything.

But anyways, these are the last few blogs i'll be doing. :(

I haz a dilemma D:

Today in programming, we learned about how probability is used in many different situations to determine different things (Example: We learned how the price is right uses the plinko game and how they determine which amount of money each slot is worth)
We also wrote a simple program about "The Man's shooting gallery". It turns out the man is going to go into debt if he keeps playing this game, :P


On friday, my mom wants to take me and my sister to a fireworks show. it's 2 hours long, and it sounds pretty fun. But on the other hand, my friends want me to go to anime night again this friday.

I love my mom, but I realllllly wanna go to anime night. I don't know what to do D:

Anime Night tonight :O

Tonight I'm going to my friend's house for anime night :D We are gonna be watching anime and playing video games and it will be a grand old time :) Plus I'm having a "Zelda-Off" as I like to call it with Eric Gillis who seems to have the delusion that he might somehow be better than me at the games. Just because you cosplayed Link, doesn't mean you can beat me you misguided fool! Muahahaha.

Internet moving to HTML5? Schweet.

I find it interesting that after all these years of websites using flash that we are going to move to the new dimension of HTML5. I don't know all of the differences from what we have now (HTML4.1 I believe), but I know that it's going to reduce the need for all of the online plugins such as flash, java and microsoft silverlight (who even used it anyway ;D)

I love sleep.

Sleep is good. It would be a good activity to partake in right about now, but no. I have to write these stinking buggers. Ah, whatever.
I would talk about what we did in class today, but we didn't do anything. Basically, we sat in class and played games. Technically I shoulda been writing my blogs, I guess it woulda helped me in my situation now :/ But anyway, Eric Gillis came into class and got ultrasurf on my computer for me. We played pokemon and surfed facebook. Gooood times.

I need a job.

Julia keeps telling me to go to the job fair for milestones but i dont have any volunteer experience or job experience. It's not like its a big deal anyway, I can live without the money till the summer. I need to do some volunteer hours soon D:

Anyway, today we learned about strings and how they work. Teach says hes gonna show us how to break credit card codes, but he's only teaching us how to break old codes that aren't applicable anymore. There goes all thos luxery items in my amazon shopping cart D:

Quinn Fappiano; Teaching students how to jerk EST 2010

Today, I'm going to teach you how to do the dance craze from 2009, The Jerk. Make sure you have a clear area around you. I will be teaching you one part of the song. You will see this move commonly in the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qv9VKKXwVxU and any other videos you'll be watching.

Step 1: You'll want to have your left leg in the air. Keep it a little high and proceed to step 2.

Step 2: Jump forward with your right foot, bringing it in front of the left leg. This may seem weird on text but in the video, you can see how it's done.

Step 3: Repeat process with alternating legs.


Simple, right? You just learned one part of the jerk. Check back sometime for another dance tutorial! :D

Favorite Video Game(s) Post 1

I want to talk about one of my favorite video game series of all time, Street Fighter. It is a game that started out in Arcades and almost every release has an arcade and home console version. It is of the fighting genre, obviously. The two Street Fighters I play the most are 3 and 4. I play them both online and offline against others. The characters I like to use are called Zangief (http://media.strategywiki.org/images/c/c3/SFA3_Zangief.gif), Cammy (http://gamersdailynews.com/images/featured/Amy/cammy.jpg), and Akuma (http://media.strategywiki.org/images/b/be/SF3_Akuma.gif). I suggest that anyone who wants to play a fun game, try Street Fighter 4. It is easy to learn, difficult to master. Give it a shot.

Why did i have to go on vacation, i need to write these blogs!

Hmm. So I am on Facebook, Youtube, and Now Blogger. One of my friends, well i don't know him that well, but Scott Mastromatteo gave me an idea for a blog if i can't think. Time to hit wikipedia's random article button!

Julia is a poopy

Welcome to my 5th blog post of this ICS bloggity :D I missed out on alot of programming and tests over vacation so now i dont know what anyone else is doing D: But i think i will catch up after this assignment thing is over. The funniest part of this week was when Julia and Dave were fighting over why a line in programming wouldnt work. Julia had put else (insert equation) and they couldnt figure what was wrong. Before the equation was written, Dave told her to write just else, even though she wanted to write else if. it turns out that that was the reason why the equation was wrong and then she got a big laugh at Dave. ANYHOOZLE

I have a gross scab on my knee. I scraped it in mexico, and i think i have mexican squirrel aids. (Squaids) And after i showered this morning, instead of the scab being hard, it got all gooey. Ewww gross. Anyway, i have 3 more blogs to go!

Anyway, I'm back from vacation, and really far behind in Programming. I need to catch up. I really hope Mr Chiarelli, in all his infinite wisdom, goes easy on me when it comes to assignment's I've missed. I really do.

For real last blog before vacation

So, it is Thursday and we had a programming test. Pretty simple, all you need to do is make a calculator that sums up the price of a meal at the SJB caf. Some choices included soup, lasagna, steak, etc. (Man, I wish the caf really had this kinda thing :P) Anyway, it was pretty simple, I feel i aced it. :D Then again, I named the radio buttons over and over to Rdo_____ but they always came up as radiobutton_ when i went to the actual programming side of things.


Anyway, this is my last blog for 10 days. Byes!

Today, we made a Swiss Chalet price checker kind of thing. We programmed the radio buttons to "shoot the price of the food over to the text box" (Mr. Chiarelli), and we programmed the "Bill" button

Third Posty

As I write this blog, on site in Chiarelli's programming class, I realized: this class is only gonna get harder. We basically learned child's play the first two weeks. Now, the programs with more lines start. 30+ line programs, here I come! :D Gotta study hard for thursday's test. Then friday.. i'm off to mexico woooooooooot.

Anyway, back to the Cat Mario Game. 220 lives later, i finally beat Cat Mario. The feeling of satisfaction after beating the game... amazing.

Anyway, short post, sorry, but I can't actually think of anything else to post.

2nd Post of first bi-weekly blog homework

Long title? Yeah, I know. :D First things first: The Programming stuff. Fun!

Anyhooz, we had a quiz today wherein we had to create a Radio GUI. No actual programming involved, but the end result was pretty satisfying to the eye.

Now, for the part where I talk about something nobody cares about. (By the way, this will probably be the format for my blogs; Programming news first, then my personal addition)

Anyway, you may be wondering where I got my blog URL from. It is my favorite song, from The Bloodhound Gang. Anyways, One last thing to talk about. A game I came across called Cat Mario.. well, there is only one way to describe this game. IT IS AN ABOMINATION OF GOD, A DISGRACE OF MAN, THE ABSOLUTE SPAWN OF SATAN. This game should be used as a means of torture. Yes, there are more difficult games, but this one is different. It lets you think you've won... but it kills you. You just need to try it out to see. Controls: Arrow Keys are moving and jumping, space bar is for running. Enjoy! Cat Mario
